The Green Winged macaw is one of  the greatest of the Ara class. It lives up to 60 years in the wild and more in captivity if treated well. It grows almost a meter tall (~40 in) no matter how you look at it in the timberland’s and woods of northern and central South America. Nevertheless, in the same way as various macaws, of late there has been a checked diminishing in its numbers on account of domain hardship and unlawful catches for the parrot trade.
